Dr Albert Yen
Principal Dentist, BDS (Otago)
Albert is a motivated clinician who takes pride in the dental services he provides. He went to school just over the road at St Kentigern College, trained in Dentistry at Otago University, and is pleased to be working in Auckland, his home. After joining Bright White in 2011, he has grown from an associate dentist to the leader of the team as Practice Principal.
Albert believes in building a trusting harmonious relationship with patients, and always takes time to get to know you and your individual needs. He is a hit with the local Asian community as he is fluent in Mandarin.
As our daily routines influence our oral health, Albert is committed to oral disease prevention with a focus on disease education and ongoing maintenance. He also has a particular interest in cosmetic dentistry to reproduce the natural aesthetics of teeth, restoration of implants to replace missing teeth, and root canal treatments.
Albert continues to render his skills as a clinician and a team leader by attending conferences and courses in New Zealand and abroad. Dentistry aside, Albert enjoys keeping fit and plays basketball competitively in local leagues and national tournaments. He also has a keen eye on fashion and design. More recently, the art of brewing a cup of delicious coffee is becoming his morning ritual before a busy day.
